• Chapter 2

    She walks up to one of the guards and asks him which way the kidnapper went. "Thank you." she said bowing. She sprints up on a rock and follows the guards directions. She ran for miles, and still no sign of the kidnapper or the guard. She soon comes upon a tiny camp in the middle of nowhere. The camp looked empty, she walks over to it.
    She walks around the camp until she came to a body lying motionless on the ground. She flips the body over only to reveal the new recruit had been killed!
    She performs a burial and prays that he have a good after life. "How am I to tell the guards about this?" she thought.
    So, morning came. She had slept in the camp; the morning was damp with the smell of rain on the horizon. She wakes to the sound of footsteps advancing towards her. She sits up; a man clothed in a black kimono and mask was getting closer to her. She stands up. He stops in front of her, "Why is a beautiful girl such as you doing out here?" he asks.
    "I-I was searching for someone." she said staring at the man. She takes a few steps back, trying to keep her distance just in case he was a human hired to kill her.
    He pulls his mask off, revealing bright emerald green eyes. "Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you." he said with a grin.
    "Like I'm going to believe you!" she spate.
    "Why don't you believe me?" he asked with a frown. "I don't trust outsiders." she said.
    "Outsiders!?" he yelled, "What's wrong with outsiders?"
    "You could be a human trying to win my trust just so you could get into my village and destroy it!" she said.
    "Huh?" he asked confused, "I'm not a human!"
    "Oh, I'm sorry for acting that way towards you." she says bowing, "I'm Tsuki."
    "I'm Axl, nice to meet you." he says as he bows.
    They stand in silence, staring at one another. "Well I had better be going." she said. He puts his mask back on, nods, and disappears. She begins to walk away. Before she gets out of the camp, she turns and takes one last look at him and whispers "Goodbye Axl." Rain begins to pour out of the sky as she sprints away. He watches her uptop a rock. Lightning strikes down in front of him, he jumps back but something grabs him and pulls him back. "What in the world!" he says in surprise. He takes his mask off to get a clear look at what it was that grabbed him. Two foxes stand before him. One blue-black with only one tail the other orange and white with ten tails. They start speaking in a different language. He looks at them confused. They look at each other, "You can't understand us?" the ten tailed one asked.
    "No." he looks at them questionably, "Who are you?"
    "We are the two leaders of the Sumizome Boushi Kouryou. I'm Zetsumei Nagara Higure and this is my wife Itonami Nagara Akegata," he explains.
    "Who are the Sumizome Boushi Kouryou?" Axl asks.
    "You've already met one," Itonami says.
    "You mean Tsuki?"
    "Yes, she is our daughter and the semi-leader of the Sumizome Boushi Kouryou," she says.
    Axl stares off into the distance.
    "And we know what your thinking," he says grinning.
    "Huh?" he looks at them, "What do you mean I'm not thinking anything."
    "Goodbye," they simply reply and disappear.
    "Hey,wa-," Axl didn't have time to finish what he was about to say. He puts his mask back on and follows the route Tsuki took.
