I woke up, but kept my eyes closed. Please, oh please let that Lucario be gone.
I opened one of my eyes.
Still there!
"Why are you following me?!" I asked angrily. He opened one eye, the other lost long ago. He looked lazily at me.
"I already said no! I don't have any Pokemon!"
I turned around, then added over my shoulder, "And I don't want any!"
I walked away, but he followed behind me as he did yesterday.
Suddenly, I burst out of the forest into a meadow with rolling green hills of soft grass. In the middle, I saw a man, with a Magmar. Behind me, Lucario stopped, and went stiff. I kept walking, and was intending on passing the man when I heard him talking.
"... Just burn this field, get rid of all this stupid grass. Would be a nice place for a Team Rocket building."
I stopped. "Excuse me?"
He whipped around. "You were listening in on me?!"
I saw Lucario run up and stand right in front of me, arms outstretched. He faced the man and growled.
The Rocket member registered a look of shock, then, a look of malevolence. With a spine chilling laugh, he said, "Well well, I didn't think I would see you again. I also didn't think you would see again."
If I thought Lucario's growl was menacing before, I was wrong. He was absolutely frightening. "How about a little reunion?" the Rocket member said. He threw a Pokeball, and from it emerged a scraggly yet large bird with a long beak. "Remember Fearrow?"
I saw Lucario's eye narrow in burning fury. A sudden vision flitted through my head.
Lucario, younger with both eyes, was weakened by a Flamethrower. He was barely able to stand.
"Boss'll be pleased with this", a Rocket member said. "Why not come quietly, and you won't get hurt."
With arms trembling from damage, the Lucario charged up a blue sphere of light.
"No, huh? Fine then. Go Fearrow!"
The Fearrow emerged from the Pokeball. It flew towards the Lucario, talons extended. Lucario never had time.
"How dare you!"
My fists were tightly balled. "It's wrong to do something like that! Even to a Pokemon!"
"It's none of your business what I do to a Pokemon."
Now I was burning. I was understanding Lucario, how he hated this man.
"Lucario!"
He looked over his shoulder.
"I'm on your side. I can't believe someone would do this."
He seemed to gather strength from these words.
"All right!" I shouted. "Lucario, this is your battle! You know what to do, because you're in control!"
The Rocket member grinned evilly. "Fine, I'll be walking away with a new Pokemon for the boss then."
"Bring it!" I roared. Lucario seemed to say the same thing.
"Fearrow, show them to never stand up to a Rocket! Fly!"
The Fearrow flew up high, then came speeding back down. Lucario spin- dodged it, and I could his fur rippling from the wake of the attack. Fearrow managed to not hit the ground.
"You're just dodging!" The Rocket member sneered. "Fearrow! Sky attack!"
The Fearrow started glowing brightly. But I knew that it took time before it would actually attack. Lucario knew this too. Silvery energy started flowing from his arms. The energy took the form of a dragon like apparation in front of him.
"Dragon Pulse?!" Now the Rocket member looked horrified. I myself was mystified. After all, Dragon Pulse was a Dragon type move.
The apparation soared towards the Fearrow, and attacked it. Fearrow let loose one shriek of pain before fainting.
"No!" Rocket screamed.
"Yeah!" I shouted gleefully, punching the air."Now, I'll be leaving. Good bye."
I turned my back and started to walk away.
"You think it's over?!"
I stopped. "Let me see. Lucario just defeated you. I think it's safe to say yes, it is."
"It's not even close! I'll make you pay!"
I heard the roar of flames. The Magmar!
I turned around to see flames rushing toward me, a mass inferno.
A blue figure rushed in front of me. Lucario.
He took full force of the Flamethrower, standing in front of me with outstretched arms. I stared on in pure terror.
Finally, the flames died down. Lucario was still standing up.
"You should've just let that useless girl burn."
Lucario raised his paws and charged up another blue sphere. This time, he threw it before the enemy could react. Magmar was sent flying, and he fainted.
"No matter, you're weak, so I'll just catch you."
I was enraged. "Over my dead body!" I yelled. I grabbed my Pokeball and threw it. It captured Lucario without any problem or struggle. I dashed over to the Pokeball and scooped it up. I ran right through the trees on the other side of the meadow.
I finally found myself at Eterna city. I sprinted over to the Pokemon Hotel, which served as a Pokemon center as well. I walked through the automatic doors to the reception counter, where a large group of ladies were complaining and fighting.
"My precious Snubbull needs a room!"
"Big deal! My Bonsly can't live without a reservation!"
I pushed through the crowd to a tired looking Nurse Joy.
The crowd was not happy. "Hey! Get back in line! We've got more important matters than you probably have!"
Now (There was no other word to explain it) I was pissed.
"WHAT?!" I screamed. "Not-?! Take a look at this!"
I threw the Pokeball in the air. Lucario stood for a second, then fell. I caught him and slung one arm around my neck to support him.
"You call this unimportant?! He's half dead!"
The crowd fell silent. Nurse Joy was quite shocked. She finally regained her senses. "You're right, this is more important. May I have your attention!" she called. "Reservations will be delayed until this matter is taken care of."
No one objected. A Chansey came in with a stretcher. "Come on," I murmured as I eased him on the stretcher. Right before they took him to a healing room, I whispered, "Thank you so much."
