Prologue
The moon laid an icy cloak on the moor. It spread. Trees swayed in the breeze of the wind that whispered the sound of the countryside. The boy ran. He was running from the darkness. The creature’s foot steps were as loud as his pounding heart. Beads of sweat trickled down his forehead. Suddenly, as the wind blew louder like a lion roaring at its prey, another creature appeared in front of him. The boy stopped. He had nowhere to run. The darkness started to consume him. His eyes widened as wide as dinner plates.
“Please…No…” The boy whispered. The creatures didn’t even hesitate. They left the boy to be consumed by the darkness. That would be the boys end. The creatures crept into the darkness slowly disappearing into the night
Chapter one
Long jet black hair. Thin, long dangly legs. These were just some of the properties Ryuu had. He was walking through the city. The dull grey sky covered the old and decrepit area. But to Ryuu, it left like home. He had lived in the city for only one week and already he loved it. All his childhood he had spent in a bustling city. He liked having people all around him. It made him feel secure. He had had to move away from the old city for unknown reasons. His mother wouldn’t tell him. But, adding more mystery his father had not moved with him. He had stayed. But that didn’t bother Ryuu. His relationship with his father had not been so good. They were always arguing. He was currently walking to the local library. He loved reading. He loved it more than the real world. He wasn’t a very good speaker. He was always nervous. With reading, he felt like you could imagine things without other people knowing about it. He passed through the automatic doors and started walking up the old wooden steps. Little children ran up and down the stairs beside him all screaming and holding thin paper back books. He passed through more automatic doors at the top and walked to one of many bookshelves. He picked up a book by “Joseph Delaney “and started flicking through pages of the book. A librarian approached him.
“You like Joseph Delaney? He is one of my favourite authors. There are many books by him in this library. Are you looking for anything in particular?” She questioned in a soft gentle voice.
“Not really. I’m just browsing really. Anything that takes my fancy I’ll look at thanks.” He replied and started flicking through the book again. The Librarian nodded and walked back to a help desk. He decided against getting the book out and left the Library. In a shop next to him, a strange man with a hood that cast a shadow over his face came out. He turned to face Ryuu. The only thing Ryuu could see was his eyes. Those burning red eyes that glared at Ryuu. He couldn’t loose eye contact with the man. He was transfixed to his eyes. The man put one of his hands into a pocket and brought out a large gun. He pointed at Ryuu. Ryuu hesitated and ran. He ran down the street and avoided stalls in the street like obstacles. The man followed. People bumped into them and at one point Ryuu was in range of the mans gun. The gun shot. The bullet missed him by centimetres. It hit an elderly man at a stall in the back. He screamed in agony and fell forward. Ryuu gasped but knew he still had to run. He ran into a nearby alleyway and hid in the shadows. But, the man didn’t run past the alleyway as Ryuu had anticipated. Instead he turned around and started to walk towards Ryuu. Ryuu jumped up and kicked the gun out of the mans hand followed by a punch in the face. He man jumped back in surprise. Ryuu kicked again but the mysterious men grabbed his leg and span it round. Ryuu’s body span round and fell on the floor with a massive thump. The man bent down and quickly tried to punch Ryuu in the head but Ryuu rolled over and dodged it. He sprang up to his feet and pushed the man into the wall and carried on running. Eventually, he stopped running and looked behind him. He wasn’t there. He was relieved. But now, many thoughts flooded his mind. Who was that guy? Why was he after me? What was he doing here? But he knew that eventually he would find out. He decided to go home. And explain all this to his mother.
Chapter two
He knocked on his door as he panted for breath. He suddenly realised that blood was trickling down has forehead. The door opened and a tall brown haired woman in a white top and jeans looked out at Ryuu. She gasped in shock. She’d obviously seen the blood.
“Oh my! Ryuu! What happened?” She shouted as she grabbed him and gave him a giant hug.
“There was this strange man in a black hood. He had a gun and he…uh… came after me. I don’t know who he was or anything. But I managed to get away from him but I got hurt in the process…” He explained. His head was stinging. He needed to rest.
“Well, you just come in and take it easy okay? I’ve seen some reports on the news lately about some sightings of men with guns…I’ll investigate it a bit. But for now, rest and don’t worry about it.” She said soothingly. He walked into the house. The cream paint was still on the wall just like it was when they had moved in. And all the same furniture. Wooden tables, pictures of vast countryside’s hung on the wall and a matching cream carpet. He slowly climbed the stairs and walked across the hallway to his bedroom. He sat on his bed that he sunk into when he sat on it. He lay down and quickly fell asleep.
His body suddenly shot up in bed. There was screaming. An excruciating sound. And he smelt smoke. He quickly got up out of the bed and ran down the stairs. It was him. The mystery man. He had his Mother by the neck with the gun pointed at her.
“You…What do you want?!” Ryuu Screamed.
“Show me.” He replied with a smug grin.
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh, you do not know?”
“Know what?” Ryuu shouted as he lashed out on the man. Punches were thrown through the air and legs rapidly thumped each other. The man suddenly grabbed Ryuu head and slowly pushed back. It looked to his Mother like he had lightly pushed him but to Ryuu it was another matter. The massive force coming from his hand pushed Ryuu into the air and smack into the wall. He flinched in pain. He slowly lifted himself up. His head was filling up with rage. If felt like his head was on fire. Suddenly, the fire in the house that the man had started got higher and hotter. It started slowly moving towards the mystery man and started to burn him. For one last time, Ryuu threw a punch at the man. But instead of a normal punch sparks and flames shot out of his hand and fiercely burned the mans face. The man flew back and Ryun’s mother ran to stand next to Ryuu.
“What on earth was that?” She whispered.
“I haven’t a clue…All I know is that we need to phone the police.”
His Mother reached into her pocket and pulled out her mobile phone. She dialled 999 and started talking to the police and telling them where they were and all the necessary details. She put her mobile down.
“They said they will be hearing in a couple of minutes. Would you like a drink?” His mother asked.
“Yes please.” He said. They walked into the kitchen and poured themselves some orange juice. They slowly drank it and when they had finished they went back to the hall where the fight had just been. And to there surprise the man was gone. There was just what seemed to be a shadow of his body left on the carpet. It looked that it was burn marks but when his mother tried to wash it, it wouldn’t come out. When the police arrived his mother explained everything while Ryuu went back to rest.
Chapter three
The next morning Ryuu woke with the smell of freshly cooked eggs and bacon. The smell tickled his nose teasing his senses. He sat up and yawned. He put on his burgundy red slippers and walked to the kitchen.
“Morning Ryuu. I’ve cooked you a special breakfast today! I hope you enjoy it.” His mother said as she laid the table with a cloth and put down a plate with scrumptious eggs and bacon on.
“Thanks Mum…” Ryuu said. He picked up his knife and fork and took some enormous bites of his breakfast.
“How are you feeling this morning?” His mother asked.
“Better…But still not fully recovered.” Ryuu replied
Ryuu eventually finished his breakfast and set off for school. He walked out the door and a cool crisp breeze hit him in the face. He was glad to go to school. He wanted a bit of normality after a day like that. He walked past all the old houses with smashed windows and horrible décor. He walked past a bunch of sniggering girls who looked at him and giggled. He ignored them and carried on walking. He approached the school. He walked through the gates and into his classroom.
“Good morning Ryuu. Please sit down at your desk.” Mr. Medre greeted Ryuu with. Ryuu sat down at his usual desk next to a girl called Nami. She had light brown hair with a cherry red highlight in her hair.
“Hey. How are you today?” Nami asked with a smile.
“Hi. I’m not bad thanks. And yourself?” Ryuu replied, returning the smile.
“I’m good thanks. So, what have you been up to this weekend?”
Ryuu explained what had happened yesterday.
“Oh my! Really? That’s terrible…” She said with a massively shocked face.
“Quiet class! Turn your textbooks to page sixty four and carry on your revision for the science test next week.” Mr. Medre shouted. Everyone opened their text books and started revision.
When the day had finished, Ryuu decided to walk home with Nami. They walked past the same group of girls and they sniggered and pointed at them as they walked by.
“Ignore them Ryuu. They do it to me all the time. They were supposed to have just moved here. They moved from a private school. Private schools are for snobs if you ask me.” Nami said when they were out of range of the girls hearing. Ryuu nodded. It was getting dark. As it was winter, the days got shorter. Nami and Ryuu went there own ways and Ryuu opened his front door and stepped into his house.
Nami carried on walking. She loved the fresh air and the peace in her life. She lived right in the centre of the city. It was a long way to walk but she always made it. She suddenly noticed the sound of heels behind her. They were getting faster and faster. She rapidly sped her walking up. She daren’t looks behind her. She suddenly felt the whole of her body freeze up. She halted. She was petrified with fear. Arms shot around her. She felt the person behind hers icy cold breathe on her cheek. The arms began to get tighter. Suddenly, she broke free of the grip and jumped to the side. She faced the person and it was a man with a black hood. The same person who was after Ryuu? She just knew one thing. To run. She sprinted down the street with the man close at her heels. She managed to get into the centre of the city. As the man ran past the buildings, the windows shattered into millions of tiny fragments. Nami started to scream. Horror built up in her mind. She was now running for her life. Whoever this man was, he had power. She screamed out for help but nobody answered. A shadow enclosed her body. Everything went black.
“Hi Ryuu. How was your day?” Ryun’s mother said.
“Fine thanks.” He replied.
“Good. Did you see Nami?”
“Yep.”
“That’s good. I’m just off to the shops. Will you be okay here on your own?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine.”
“Okay then. I’ll be quick”
His Mother left the house. Ryuu was usually okay being by himself but after yesterday he was a bit scared. He went and made him self a nice warm cup of coffee and sat down on his couch. The room suddenly got darker. It was like all the light was being drawn out of the room. Ryuu stood up. He went into the hall. The shadow of the man was still there. But now it was a more solid black and had a 3D effect to it. Ryuu twitched. He knew what was coming. The shadow slowly got up. It was him again. Ryuu, with his back against the wall, kept his eyes transfixed on it. He noticed that when the shadow got up it had a body in its arms. Nami. Ryun’s eyes widened. The shadow grew eyes and feet. Then hands and all the other human features.
“Who are you?” Ryuu muttered.
“Oh, you’ve forgotten already? Too bad. My name is Wolv. But that is not of importance.” Wolv replied with another of his smug grins.
“What do you want with Nami?” Ryuu cried.
“You are a nosy one aren’t you? Just come with me. And I will not harm her. Or you for that matter.”
Ryuu reluctantly moved closer to Wolv.
“Very obedient. Good.” Wolv growled.
He put out his hand and the darkness sprawled on the floor came together and made a portal.
“Go through. Now.”
Ryuu passed through the portal. He felt his whole spirit crying out for help. His body was filled with depressing thoughts of those who had also gone through a portal of this sort. Tears formed in his eyes and slowly dripped down his cheeks. Eventually, Wolv and Nami came through. Nami seemed to have got back her consciousness and was walking with a slight limp. They followed Wolv to a gigantic chamber. There were dead bodies and skulls lying on the floor. It made the place feel even more desolate and hopeless. It had large arched windows that had graffiti all over them. Chains hung from the wall with bones hanging from them. Wolv suddenly turned round and with one swift movement of both his hands, knocked them both out.
Chapter four
They woke in a cell. The cell had steel bars that glinted with light when the tiny pit of sunlight from the ceiling came through. Ryuu put his hand to his head and felt a throbbing pain. He glanced around to look at the cell. It was made with some kind of black rock. The floor was damp and hard. There was a small pit in one corner. A toilet perhaps? Nami was still lying there. He stood up and walked to the bars. There were many cells but each was abandoned. There were bullet marks in some of the walls and burnt patches on the ceiling. Some of the bars on the other cells were half destroyed. The smell of smoke was in the air again. To Ryuu it looked as if there had been an explosion of some sort. The sound of somebody trying to get up from the back of the room was heard. Nami slowly got up and limped over to Ryuu. He put his arm around her to steady her.
“Where are we?” Nami whispered with horror.
“Looks like some kind of abandoned prison. To me it looks as if an explosion happened but I’m not entirely sure.” Jack replied in a shaky voice.
They stayed there, staring out into nothing for what seemed like hours. Hours of hell. Ryuu started trying to break out. He kept pulling at the bars. He then had an idea. He told Nami about what had happened to the fire at his house and the blazing punch he had thrown at Wolv. He decided to try and do the same thing again. He closed his eyes and imagined flames. Burning at his skin. An inferno of heat. He punched the bars and once again, the sparks and tiny flames shot out of his hands. Surprisingly, a hole was made by his fist in the bars. He did it again and again until a big enough hole was made for them to escape.
“Wow! That was amazing Ryuu!” Nami screamed in amazement. Ryuu gave a broad smile and clambered out of the gap. Nami followed. They slowly walked the long and menacing corridor of cells. They came to a door. A metal door. Together, they managed to push it open. Vast amounts of light poured into the room. They both smiled at the dazzling sight. They both ran through and they were back in the city. They crossed the road and they heard the radio of a car stopping at traffic lights. “Missing children! The children have been identified as Ryuu Keck and Nami San. If any information is known, please go to your local police station. These children have been lost for three days…”
“Three whole days?!” Ryuu Shouted. “We were unconscious for three whole days?”
“Looks like it…Strange though. Strange how that Wolv made that portal out of complete darkness and all… I think we should go home. Our parents must be worried sick. I really need to talk to you about all of this though. Meet me at the park tomorrow afternoon at one o’clock. See you then!” Nami answered. She started walking home. Ryuu decided that going home would be the best thing possible. So, he set off.
Ryuu knocked on the door and his Mother with gigantic tears running down her eyes and dark circles round her eyes came out. She had clearly not been sleeping. A humongous smile went across her face. She instantly hugged him and didn’t let go till after quite a while.
“Ryuu…Where have you been? I’ve been so worried about you!” His mother cried out.
“I’m okay mum.” Ryuu said but he knew he was lying.
That whole night’s conversation was about what had happened. He told it all to his mother. Then after it all, he went to sleep.
Red. Those red eyes. The eyes of pure evil. It sent a chill down his spine. They stared at him for hours on end. Suddenly, the creature jumped on him. It grabbed him by the mouth. He couldn’t breathe and swirling darkness flooded his lungs. He shut his eyes and thought of strength. The strength of flames. He spread his arms and legs suddenly. He yelled with all his might. He couldn’t believe the pain he was in. It seemed unreal. He continued yelling and suddenly, flames came from his arms and flew around the creature. The flames wrapped around it. The monster screamed. The scream deafened him terribly. He grasped his ears with his hands. When he opened his eyes he felt dizzy. Suddenly, he was in his room. He was lying on his back, his covers all over the floor. Sweat came from his brow. A nightmare. He shook the questions from his head and got up from his bed. He yawned and padded across the corridor to the bathroom. He looked at the mirror and stared at the face looking at him. He couldn’t recognise himself. He no longer knew who he was. Ever since Wolv came. He leaned on the sink his head down. He got up and went down his stairs. His mother was waiting in the kitchen for him.
“Hi Ryuu! I got some cereal for you ready!” She smiled.
“Sorry Mum, I’m really not hungry.” Ryuu moaned.
“Oh… I understand. What are you planning to do today?” She questioned.
“I’m going to go see Nami at one o’clock at the park.” He replied.
“Ok. But you’d better get a move on! It’s quarter to one!”
Ryuu gasped and ran up to his room. He opened his oak wardrobe and grabbed some jeans and a red T-shirt. He put them on and grabbed his mobile phone. He placed it into his pocket. He ran back downstairs and to the door.
“I’ll be back later!” He yelled. He charged out of the house and sprinted down his street. He looked around. The street looked the sane as always. At least that was the same. He was no longer Ryuu. He was some kind of monster. Over a fence, he saw a young child on a trampoline having the time of his life. Why couldn’t he be like that? Happy and having a good time. Not just dwelling on things that had happened. He just wanted everything to be normal. He continued running and saw the park in the distance. He got there just on time and saw Nami sitting on a bench, staring into nothing.
“Hi. I’m here.” Ryuu panted. He sat down next to Nami.
“Oh, hi. Sorry, I wasn’t really with it. I’ve just been thinking.” She said calmly. By the tone of her voice she had no problem with it, but that wasn’t the case. She felt very scared by it all.
“Ryuu… I don’t understand any of this. Wolv… you. How did you do that thing with the fire? It’s impossible! And the portal that Wolv made… it just doesn’t add up!” She cried. She buried her head in her hands and began sobbing. Ryuu placed his hand on her back.
“It’s ok to cry. I don’t understand any of this either. I don’t know how I do it. It’s just when I think of power, I think of fire. Because it can burn down everything in its path. And then, I feel like I am the fire. And it comes from my body. Deep within me.” Ryuu explained. Nami suddenly stood up. Her face a statue. She stared around. Nobody else was in the park. Which is extremely unusual. Somebody tapped Nami on the shoulder. She swung around. It was Wolv. He was grinning at her.
“Miss me?” He whispered. Nami stepped back. Rage was stored within her. The anger of being involved in such a horrid person. She couldn’t handle this. She wanted it all to be over. “I want nothing to do with you!” She screamed at him. As soon as she did that, dark clouds came over and rain splattered there faces with a strong force. She glared at Wolv. Wolv seemed surprisingly shocked. He muttered something under his breath. “The prophecy. It has come true…” He mumbled. With that he leaped into the air, disappearing instantly. Nami panted rapidly. She felt dizzy and weak. She started falling backwards. Ryuu leapt up and grabbed her just in time. “Are you alright?” He asked.
“I’ll be ok…” She murmured.
“I’ll take you home then.” Ryuu said.
“No!” She shouted. Ryuu looked at her, puzzled.
“I do not want to go home. Wolv will be there. He’ll haunt me. Please Ryuu help me.” She sobbed. Her mind was buzzing with fear. She turned around constantly searching for Wolv. Always looking for the darkness to come and find her. “Please!!” She screamed. She grabbed his hand. Ryuu grabbed her and hugged her tightly.
“I will help you. Don’t worry.” He whispered in her ear. And Ryuu thought he was traumatized! Nami had always been a bit scared of things. When something worried her she would be thinking about it all day until the next worry came along.
“We can go away somewhere. Take ourselves away from this horror. We don’t have to put up with it!” Ryuu said quietly. People were starting to return to the park and were staring at them peculiarly. The fresh wind swept the flowers around. The trees danced in the breeze. Young children were playing catch with a large red ball. Back and forth, back and forth. Ryuu was hypnotized by it. He shook himself away from it and focused back on Nami. “I’ll run back home and grab some food. You look hungry. My mum is at work at the office, so she’ll never know. Then we can find a place to go, to get away.” Ryuu smiled. “Stay here. I’ll be about five minutes.”
He ran up the street and spotted his mother getting into her car. He looked at his watch. It was quarter past one. Just the time mum set off to work. He crouched behind a small bin until he heard the roaring sound of the engine. She drove away and he slowly stood up. He approached the house. “Damn. Forgot the key…” He whispered under his breath. The back door was always unlocked because his mother could never lock it properly. He climbed around a wall that ran down the side of his house. He balanced on it and clambered across. He jumped off onto his emerald green grass. His mother had always loved gardening and did it whenever she could. It was filled with the most exotic and beautiful flowers in the world. He sighed at what he would be missing and walked to the door. He opened it easily and stepped into the kitchen. There was some aromatic smelling, freshly baked cookies on the table. With sweet chocolate chunks inside. His mother had made them especially. His heart was suddenly filled with pain and anger. Not anger with his mother, but himself. How could he possibly leave her now? She was fragile as it is. She couldn’t just leave her. He had to stay.
Back at the park Nami sat on the bench. She had calmed her self down a lot more now. Perhaps she could cope with it? Maybe it was just her instincts telling her, not her heart. She was just so confused. She noticed Ryuu walking into the park.
“I can’t go.” He said.
“But, we had already decided.” She replied as calm as a still pond.
“My mum… She needs me. I can’t just leave her Nami.” Nami gave him an evil look. She looked at him and behind her eyes, Ryuu saw hate.
“Coward. How could you possibly leave me to cope with all of this on my own!? I can’t do it Ryuu!” She screamed. No longer calm but now like a tidal wave about to ferociously attack a seaside village.
“Nami, I’m not going to leave you. I’ll always help you. My mum is fragile as it is and I don’t want to damage her even more.” Ryuu replied softly. Nami shook her head and walked away. “Nami!” He shouted back. No reply. He held his head in shame as his only friend walked away from her. He wanted this to end. For the whole scenario to end. He would go to the area they were taken. The prison Wolv took them. He remembered the entrance to it from the city. And that was his plan.
Chapter five
He saw the dark forbidding entrance to the Prison on the outskirts of the town. He slowly walked in silently. A dim light was in the room allowing him to see his surroundings. Everything was the same. Except one thing. There was a wooden door. He approached it wearily. There was a golden handle that glittered in the light. He slowly put his hand onto it and opened it.
Inside was a completely different world than his. Completely dark. It held the world in a hug of misery. A long road. That stretched forever. Never ending. Never forgetting the torment the world has put it through. All these feelings came into Ryuu and he broke down into tears. He felt suffocated and that it was his entire fault. The souls of people who died in this place flooded his heart and told him to stay here and help them. He walked along the track. Each step seeming to stab him in the heart. His eyes twitched as a slight breeze lifted a layer of dirt into his eyes. His energy was draining. He felt like he was being watched. He turned to his left. Nothing was there except the endless horizon. He turned to his right. There was something.
An old woman with stringy grey hair down to her shoulders. Wrinkles made her face look terribly old and frail. Her back was bent and she was extremely skinny. She was dressed in a dusty old black robe. The dark colour of the dress was faded and stained. She took a small step forward, the robe moving to one side to show her dark grey boots. Ryuu was too worn out to even open his mouth or acknowledge her presence. “Boy. Pay close attention.” She slowly said, startling Ryuu. “Come nearer, child.” She whispered. Dust of this land laid a cloak on the rocky ground beneath his feet. He hesitated and took a step towards the stranger. “Who are you? Where am I?” He cried out. His whole world crumbled inside his head. Nothing made sense. Who was he anymore? A miraculous spiral of hypnotic dust appeared in the distance. A man in a black suit. The same man who chased Ryuu through the town came into view through the dust. Ryuu trembled with fear and rooted himself to the spot. He wanted to scream. He wanted to yell at the very top of his voice. He wanted to do this, and make it all go away. The black haired boy asked the woman once again. This time more commanding. “Where am I? Tell me now.” He shouted into her face. All his anger coming out at once in one final blow of uncontrollable rage. The old woman reached a crooked hand out and touched Ryuu on the shoulder. A vision of light blasted out from her.
Ryuu was in a field. Full of bright flowers. He staggered forwards. “What do you want from me?” He whispered slowly. In the distance he spotted Nami. “Nami?” He muttered quietly. He ran towards her.
“Ryuu…” She said, eyes closed. She didn’t seem the same. She looked lifeless. “Save me.” She whispered. Ryuu grabbed her hand.
“What is wrong Nami?” Ryuu shouted. Nami began to fade. Fading into the horror. The torment. “Nami!!” Ryuu shouted desperately. Nami faded into the mysterious land.
Nami screamed. She was lying on the floor of the prison. Sweat trickled down her head as she panted for breath. Her eyes were bloodshot and her head was pounding with a terrible pain. She grabbed a bar besides her and slowly got up.
“Oh, hello there Nami.” Said a voice that Nami would rather not hear.
“No… not you. Leave me alone!” She screamed, clutching onto the bars.
“Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you. I promise.” Said the voice again. The person emerged into view. It looked like Wolv but he had blonde hair instead of black.
“I am Tasuka, Wolv’s brother.” He said calmly. He got out a golden key from his pocket and slotted it into the key hole. The door opened, making a loud creak.
“Quick, we need to get you out of here before Wolv comes back.” Tasuka explained.
“But why are you helping me?” Nami asked, stunned.
“I do not agree with Wolv’s evil ways. He needs to be stopped. Now, your friend Ryuu. He is trapped in the other dimension. It will toy with his mind. Scare him, terrorise him.”
“How do we get to him?” Nami questioned. Tasuka pointed to a wooden door.
“Through there. But once somebody goes in others need a key to enter. And here is the problem. Wolv has it.”
Ryuu stood staring at the old woman. He put out his arm to touch her. Was she real? Or just another figure of his imagination, like Nami? When he touched her arm she faded away. That meant the men in the suits here, were fake. Ryuu began walking along the path. He wanted to see where it went. Perhaps he could find a way out of this terrible place. The dust stung his eyes and he was urgently needing some water. He saw a shining light ahead of him and sprinted forwards.
“Wolv is currently in the other dimension. Hopefully not near Ryuu.” Tasuka said.
“Oh, am I?” said a voice behind the corner. Nami screamed. Wolv stepped out from round the corner and smiled at them.
“Hello again, brother. Nice of you to try and save Nami. Sadly it won’t work.” Wolv mocked. Wolv suddenly leaped forwards and punched Tasuka in the jaw.
“Ha, is that all you’ve got?” Tasuka chuckled. He rapidly began kicking Wolv in the stomach, winding him. Wolv fell to the floor trying to breath. Tasuka grabbed Nami’s hand. “Run!” He shouted. Together, they ran out of the prison. As the daylight hit Tasuka, he began fading.
“Run home! Please, run!” He shouted to Nami.
“Why are you fading?” She asked slowly.
“I belong in the other dimension. Not here. When the sun of this world hit’s me, I’ll be taken back to the other dimension. Come to the prison tomorrow at midnight. I’ll be there.” Tasuka explained. He then faded completely, leaving Nami alone.
Chapter six
Tasuka appeared back in the other dimension. He heard noises. It was the Twilight Army. They were army men who were under control of Wolv. They were told to look for Tasuka and Ryuu. Tasuka had always been against Wolv with everything. Even in school. One of the army men spotted Tasuka and shouted something to his comrades. They all began shooting at him. Bullets flew everywhere. But none of the hundreds that were shot hit Tasuka. Tasuka had used something that his father had told him and Wolv how to do. He made an envelope of darkness that teleported him to anywhere he wished. Tasuka, however, wished he had not used the power of darkness of get away but it was all he could have done to avoid them
Nami wandered around the town. She was so confused with her life. The only thing on her mind was Ryuu. She walked into to the park which held wonderful memories of her and Ryuu’s friendship. When they were young they used to play in the park all of the time. She sat on a bench, her eyes flooded with tears. An old man saw her sadness and walked up to her. He sat on the seat besides her.
“Are you all right there?” He asked in a calm voice, “What is the problem?”
Nami turned to face him. His kind, gentle face soothed him.
“Oh, it’s nothing.” She lied.
“Now then, you don’t cry over nothing do you?” He laughed, “Tell me what is wrong. I might be able to help you.”
“It’s my friend. He is in grave danger.” Nami explained. She was slightly suspicious of the old man and his need to help her.
“Oh, well that’s no good is it.” He said. His face suddenly began dripping. Nami’s eyes widened.
“What’s happening to your face?” She stuttered. She stood up quickly and took a step back. His whole face was melting. It dripped to the floor, causing steam to rise up. And in the old mans face, it was Wolv.
