Terrinthia sat alone in her boyfriend’s father’s boat looking out at the Sea of Tales. She sat alone when the line connecting the boat to the empty dock snapped and the boat began drifting father into the crystal blue waters. She did not notice the movement at first, not until it was far too late. She bolted from her seat and went to jump in the water when she noticed a figure on the dock waving to her. She knew him, but at the same time had no name or image for him. She just understood the figure was male and was waving goodbye.
“Enjoy your journey my half. Enjoy.
I am always…”
She did not hear the last few words as a storm overtook her boat and she had to hide in the hull for cover, not knowing how to sail. Soon the water overtook her and her step-father to be one day’s precious boat. She found herself praying to the gods for salvation, and also to the man on the dock who’d thrown her into this fate. As the Sea of Tales began to suck her life away from her as she heard the man’s last words. Yet at the same time she was completely unwilling to bring them to her conscious mind. And she heard another voice speak, “Goodbye my hope.”

- Title: Terrinthia
- Artist: Evelie Harte
- Description: The writing prompt was to write a dream for a character. I did this for my creative writing class, but I love how it came out. So I turned it into a full story. This is just the dream though.
