are you talking about the bottom part of the sword?
its because of the glare on the shirt. Otherwise its as straight as it was possible for me to draw without a ruler.

actually the shield had shading but when i scanned it...it was all gone. :/
so i had to make the lines darker...but still the shading wouldnt show up. ^^;

- I love the person, but the shield seems plain in comparison. Perhaps a tad big of shading to show a shine on the shield would be adventageous for your artwork. It's still worth 5/5 work =P
